This is the accommodation, ammunition storage and casualty assembly area on the north side of the road. The road actually was a railway line in the war and before. So most troop, ammunition, food movements would be done by train.

The main entrance for casualties is on the left side where the the corner has been opened out to make a stretcher enter easily. The right side for walking wounded.

We are not sure what the steps were for, but they may have been later when this whole area was used as a summer camping ground for French naval families in the 60's.

A slightly wider entrance and unusually no air ventilation. Ammunition would have to have been carried by hand unless a wooden ramp was improvised?

This bunker was used for a disco in the 60/70's whenever disco's were the IN thing. It has had a few modifications, the odd hole added here and there.

Three long rooms with connecting passages front and rear. This would have held quite a large amount of ammunition.

This is another first, first in an M145 bunker and also the first time I have seen arches in a bunker. There seemed to be no doors fitted in the bunker and any heating.
