Ro230 La Pallice 'Gerhard ' part of the defence of La Pallice.

 

Ro230 is split between a & b. Part of the U-Boote bunkers Flak defence.

This I believe is roughly the area of Ro230. The red and yellow squares are the next two pictures. 8. Komp./Festa.LXXX. 6./Res.Flak.Abt.195. 2 x L409 emplacement for a 3.7cm Flak. 1 x L410 emplacement for a 3.7cm Flak. 1 x L411 bunker for a 60cm searchlight. 1 x L412 Command post bunker for Flak. 5 x R501 Group shelter. 1 x R607 ammunition bunker. 2 x R631 Skoda casemate. Several SK bunkers and Luftschütz (air-raid). 1 x S/62a Wasser bunker. 1 x MG stand. 3 x Vf67 Tobruks. 2 x Pz.T. FT17 - MG311 (f) turrets. 1 x Pz.T. S35 4.7cm KwK173 (f). 2 x 3.7cm KwK144 (f). 2 x 4.7cm Pak K.36 (t). 3 x 2cm Flak 30.

First the red square Ro230a with 8. Komp./Festa.LXXX., several bunkers named to what I think they may be, as the whole site has been cleared an a completely new layout exists today. R631 dated 1943 may be replacements for what look like earlier Skoda (casemates) bunkers. The R501 was 1943.

L409 with a flanking wall covering the entrance. On the roof a 3.7cm Flak gun would be placed.
