Wn243 Le Lande St Gabriel was a French fort used by the Germans as an observatory (PDT) looking over the town of Cherbourg. As you will see many bunkers are blown up and it is very overgrown with brambles, in 2007.

Leitstand -control room or control post, probably controlled the firing of many guns in the area around the harbour.
That I know, this is the only Schnabelstand type in the Lower Normandy
