INFORMATION:

We visited Merryfield in beautifully weather in the middle of May 2005, but later in the month Merryfield had a small air day. The Navy did a marvelous job in really horribly wet weather as you can see from the inset: picture.

The wood of tall evergreen trees were planted in a small grove to teach pilots to land large helicopters in restricted places and inset: is a Sea King landing inside on the air day. The air days are held yearly at the end of May.
