INFORMATION:

Looking down the road to Withington is the Sick Quarters. At the entrance there is a Picket post and inside several hut bases and a large entrance Stanton air-raid shelter. There would have been a the main sick quarters, (a small hospital ward) with a larger men's and a smaller WAAF's. Quarters for orderlies and an M&E plinth so that if the power went down the auxiliary power from the standby set house via the plinth could run the electrics.
