INFORMATION:

We noticed that when the pillboxes were made the anti shrapnel wall was larger and maybe when the Turnbull mounts were fitted it was realised that there was not enough room, so the end edges have been cut back to allow more space. A Turnbull mount needs 4ft9inch free space behind it.
