Plouescat Communal Cemetery CWGC
Where ever I go I always look out for a CWGC plaque as you never know what you will find.
His Majesties Canadian Ship Athabaskan. In 1944 just before D-day there was a sea battle between allied ships and a destroyer and T-boat flotilla of the German navy. HMCS Athabaskan and HMCS Haida attacked the destroyers in a night action and HMCS Athabaskan was sunk with the loss of many lives.

The Cross of Sacrifice was designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield. Any cemetery with over 40 graves, you can find the Cross of Sacrifice.
