Batterie Grainval
A batterie of six 15.5cm guns, started early in the war and by about 1943 it looks as though they had all been moved. Usually due to very heavy bombing which brought on the order to casemate batteries in 1943. There were no casemates built here for the guns and I am not sure what happened to them.

Right out on the cliff edge is the Vf Leitstand, it could have been built for the batterie to direct its fire.

You can see from this 1947 air photo, the severe bombing that some of these batteries took when not in casemates.

Batterie Grainval
Just part of a picture showing heavy bombing in the Le Havre area. This increased into 1944 as more daylight raids could be carried out and getting much better accuracy.
