This defence is of one of the prettiest harbours in France. The defence of this harbour was inside the entrance with one 5cm KwK Pak gun on the north bank of the harbour, a Pz.T. R35 3.7cm KwK144 (f) tank turret on the other side and 4.7cm Skoda Pak in the middle. The British and Canadians forces came down the main road from the south the D579A.

As this was a working docks the RAF would have been very interested in it and would have bombed it quite a few times. The shelter was for the dock workers and towns people in the vicinity.

Moving along the coast west away from the town, the sea came right up to the road. There is a camping site which would have had a beach front and now is nowhere near the sea. There were two Tobruks, positions I am not exactly sure of and a 60/70cm search light position in an L411 emplacement. If you can get to the campsite it can be seen on the left as you enter.

Just inside the camping site is an L411 bunker for a searchlight..
