Assembling Rommel's Asparagus. There are wires set into the concrete to tie in to the next piece and then when all are tied I think a coat of cement was placed in the joint to seal it off.

R680 casemate internals, the pit in the centre to run the gun in and the trails would extend to the sides and sit in grooves. There was a fan to suck out the foul gases from the gun room and pump it out the back. .
