Set amongst the village of Westonzoyland was the Dispersed Sites (AC).
My set of plans for the airfield is not too clear at times but I think this is the Air Crew (AC) sites and on the other side of the airfield are the Ground Crew (GC) sites.

The main picture is 226 Sqn at Faux-Villecerf in France 1940. When on practice camp at Westonzoyland, this is how it would have looked.

Set amongst what is now the village of Westonzoyland, the A.C. (Air Crew) dispersed living accommodation was spread out in spare fields. Mostly now built over as by 1950's and new housing estates. Although some sites do still show up, the Transmission Station, Sewage and some of the Communal and site No.1. That is an allotment garden.

Station Sick Quarters is a small hospital.

The 178 - Picket Post - N - 11453/41 could have been half a Nissen hut in size as there would be no need to have a full hut. The Picket post was a sort of guard room that you had to sign in and out as you came and went and also set up a guard rota for night time security.

This end is the mortuary, where the dead came to rest before burial. The area would have been walled off from the garage and a concrete slab would be in he middle of the room, a separate entrance and a water supply in the left side can still be seen here. (RAF Keevil)

Two additional rooms added to the end were the Chancel where church services could be carried out and the [P20V. Room]. I will have to research this room.

If the mains power was cut for any reason, the engines inside could generate enough power to run emergency electricity around the airfield.

201 to 220 mostly barrack huts for Officers (4), Sergeants (8), Airmen (18) and all Nissen huts. So four officers or eight sergeants have the same room space as18 airmen had. Also latrines, transformer & an incinerator. Nissen huts 4931/41. Latrines TB 11457/41.

Lingdon House, I believe this is what it was called. The house stands as a ruin and looking at the brickwork, it does look very RAF'ish. And may have at some point been used in the war.
