Situated on the eastern side of the airfield is: - Accommodation Sites (GR) [Ground Crew]. There were five sites in all, HF/DF Station, Sewage Works, Communal Site (GR), and Living Sites No. 1 & 2.

Very little is left now. The Communal site was the area where all ranks could come for their meals and also to relax after work. The Officers had an Officers Mess, quite plush with leather chairs around a large open fire, plus their dining room for meals. With table cloths and meals served to them by W.A.A.F.'s or civilian servants. The Sergeants in a comfortable mess, made better by being the group that ran the RAF supply system, always were well looked after. Then the Corporals mess, not quite so comfy. Then the Men's Institute and dinning hall. Large feeding rooms, areas where they can relax, write letters, read books/magazines and play card/darts games etc.
