Station Sick Quarters a mix of hutting, from Concrete Block to Nissen huts. The Annexe was a 24ft Nissen hut and the Quarters for the orderlies was a 16ft Nissen hut.

612 - Sick Quarters - C.B. - 13649/41. The view is typical of a wartime temporary brick building, with the brick piers and three small windows. The building continues in a T shape down to the right still with its brick chimneys.

There seem to be two added Latrine blocks added at a later date than the AM Site Plan 4947/44. You can just see the added Mortuary attached to the rear of the Ambulance Garage.

This is exactly how the station Sick Quarters may have looked here. A very shiny lino floor as well. Airy and light. The sick quarters were not just for air crash victims, but really just for the general RAF personnel's welfare. There were always colds and flu and appendicitis, tonsillitis, broken bones, etc.
