Quarters for at least 200 Officers, Sergeants and Airmen. 4 Officers to a hut in single rooms, 8 Sergeants to a hut in double rooms and 12 Airmen to an open hut. The Officers were in the huts on the left, Airmen around hut 583 and in Nissen huts. Sergeants at the top of the site.

593 - Ablutions & Drying Room Sergts. & A/men - [57to80Serg 181to252men] - 16329/41. Made of concrete blocks to an Air Ministry plan 16329/41. But could also have been made in 4inch brick or Nissen. The layouts inside would be very similar.

Inside the urinal and a toilet. Remember these were not heated and usually the door had been left open BRRRR. Its not been cleaned for a while.

I have mentioned Concrete Block and these were the blocks used to build instead of the standard red brick of most RAF camps of the period. They must have been made locally from quarried stone.
