The design no. is 16329/41, which could be made in Nissen or Temporary Brick. T.B. is a half brick wall with buttresses equally spaced along the walls. Here they uses a concrete block as I am sure they were locally sourced. The windows would have been a standard Crittall steel frame. The tower on the end held the water reservoir in the top and a boiler house below. Coal would have been drawn from the Fuel Store in Site No.9. Usually a civilian boiler man would be employed to keep several boilers working, moving around the different sites on a bicycle.
